HyperLeda Help

The standardized designations (also called principal name) adopted in HyperLeda are chosen by descending the hierarchy: The basic rule for adopting a syntax is that the designation should be understood by other databases: NED and SIMBAD.
We recommend to avoid the use of space characters within the designations (eg. between the catalogue name and the number). Blanks are generally used as field separator, and designations are considered as one field.
Clicking on Designation links to the Search by Name page.
