Compilation of the nature of objects |
|
The physical nature of objects is collected from the literature and from the
surveys loaded in HyperLeda.
Before 2005, this information was directly stored in a homogenized parameters
table where the best assigment was stored. A suposedly better estimate
was replacing the previous one, and history information was lost. Therefore,
the source of the classification before that time is given under the reference
88, and precise origin cannot be tracked.
Field: numtype objtype
Object nature.
The nature is internally stored as a numerical code numtype that is
not displayed by default. The character code, objtype, displayed
by default, is defined in the
the "nature_codes": table:
The quality flag associated to an assessment of the nature (normally indicated
in parentheses after the value) has the following meaning:
Value | Meaning |
0 | Regular determination, presumed reliable |
1 | Incertain |
3 | Preliminary |
9 | Wrong determination |
