The Library of Medium Resolution Spectra of Galaxies |
|
We have assembled in the frame of the
HyperLeda FITS archive a
Library of Medium Resolution Spectra of Galaxies.
It consists in long slit spectra taken with the CARELEC spectrograph
attached to the 1.9 meter telescope of observatoire de Haute-Provence,
between 1992 and 1998. The grating generally used provided a dispersion
of 66A/mm, and the CCD was a Tektronix 512x512.
These data were collected in the frame of two long-term programs, one
concerning early-type galaxies (study of their scaling relations; the
results are published in a series of paper by Prugniel, Simien and
collaborators),
the second concerns spiral galaxies (the results are published by
Heraudeau et al.)
The corresponding datasets are:
Note: The observations of early-type galaxies from Jan. 1995 (L95011HP1)
were temporarly removed from the archive because of a technical problem
on the computer. This dataset is presented in: 1997A&AS..122..521S
This library is supplemented with more recent spectra also taken with the
CARELEC spectrograph, but with a EEV CCD 696x2048.
