The surface brightness in magnitudes per square arcsec (mag arcsec-2)
Code for the type of surface brightness
| value | meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | Central or peak surface brightness |
| 1 | Surface brightness at effective radius |
| 2 | Effective mean surface brightness within the effective
radius (equivalent radius in which half the total flux is emitted) |
| 3 | Central surface brightness for exponential fit |
Quality Flag The quality flag has the following meaning:
| value | meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | regular measurement |
| 1 | uncertain measurement, its weight is decreased by a factor 2 when computing the average value |
| 3 | preliminary measurement, probably superseeded in a more recent publication, it is ignored unless no other measurement is available |
| 4 | compilation, it is ignored unless no other measurement is available |
| 9 | rejected measurement |
